Osoto Gari Takedown for Jiu Jitsu- BJJ Blue Belt Requirements Technique #3

In this jiu jitsu video, you'll learn how to do a jiu jitsu takedown based on the Osoto Gari judo takedown from Eduardo Rocha. The osoto gari is one of the original 40 throws in judo and is used to takedown your opponent with an outer leg reap. It has been modified for Gracie jiu jitsu in order to prevent the opponent from gaining access to your back.

Learning the jiu jitsu variation of the osotogari judo takedown is one of the bjj blue belt requirements taught by Eduardo at his Gracie jiu jitsu academy, Rocha Jiu Jitsu, in Oakland, CA. After mastering this jiu jitsu technique, subscribe to get more jiu jitsu videos from our Blue Belt Requirements series.
